Indre-et-Loire: an equipped and protected territory

Each year, Indre-et-Loire faces more than 300 fires. A threat amplified by global warming and the drying up of vegetation. To strengthen its resilience, the department has chosen to set up our AI fire detection system on its territory in order to help the emergency teams in the field.

Seven sites already operational

For this installation in partnership with the Departmental Council and the SDIS 37, FireTracking Has joined forces with Axione, leader of digital land use planning, to successfully deploy its solution in just a few months, and get it up and running before summer 2025.

Today, seven sites are already operational and cover the areas most exposed to the risks ofconflagration. Equipped with high definition cameras installed on high points (pylons, water towers, antennas) and connected to a Embedded AI, these installations allow identify the first signs of a fire in less than three minutes, with a very low false alarm rate.

A second deployment phase started in October in order to bring the number of equipped sites to twelve, thus offering coverage of nearly 95% of the department's forest areas. One more step to sustainably strengthen the resilience of the territory in the face of the growing risk of fires.

A substantial project that mobilizes a collective of around twenty-five experts, coordinating their efforts around the development of high points, network deployment, software development and project management.

By combining artificial intelligence, human expertise and institutional cooperation, the Department of Indre-et-Loire is thus equipped with a state-of-the-art surveillance and prevention system, capable of accelerating interventions on incipient fires and providing strategic support to emergency teams, thanks to Innovation and to The technology.
