How does our AI speed up firemen's response to fires?

When a fire breaks out, every minute is decisive. Between the moment when the first smoke appears and when the flames get out of control, the speed of detection and intervention can change everything. At a time when artificial intelligence is emerging as a major lever in tech and innovation, it can also become a real ally in protecting populations and maintaining territories. That is precisely the aim of FireTracking. With our advanced fire monitoring technology, we are putting the power of AI into the fire department to give them a head start in the face of the speed of fires.

Ultra-fast detection thanks to embedded AI

Installed on strategic high points such as pylons, water towers or antennas, our high-definition cameras equipped with a 40x optical zoom continuously monitor thousands of hectares. The data collected is then directly analyzed on site by our embedded AI using a Edge computer installed nearby.

This real-time local processing of video streams makes it possible to identify the first signs of a fire in under three minutes, without relying on heavy network connections or remote data centers. The training of our AI as well as the way in which we designed its installation thus allow a reliable and almost instantaneous alert, with a rate of false alarms less than 10%.

By offering each operator and firefighters accurate and immediate information, our technology surveillance saves them precious minutes, often decisive, to mobilize resources, organize interventions and contain a fire.

A user journey designed for action

Beyond detection, the FireTracking platform was designed to optimize emergency work from the first alert. When a fire is suspected, an alarm is sent directly to an operator. In a few seconds, it can remotely take control of the cameras to confirm the presence of smoke or flames. This step, called “removing doubts”, avoids mobilizing teams in the event of a false alarm but above all, it allows better emergency response when a fire is detected.

Thanks to the crossing of weather and topographic data, the interface FireTracking can simulate the possible evolution of fire by analyzing its speed of movement, the direction of the flames and by identifying threatened sensitive areas. This is a significant asset for firefighters who can adapt their strategy and prioritize securing the most exposed sectors. Each alert is geolocated on a dynamic map integrating roads, water points, infrastructures and reliefs. At a glance, emergency services visualize their field of action to best plan their arrival on site and organize the deployment of human and material resources.

By combining ultra-early detection and advanced fire monitoring technologies operational designed for the field, FireTracking does not only report a fire but becomes a real AI co-pilot for emergency services.

End-to-end operational support

Between intelligent detection systems, real-time analysis and advanced simulation tools, we provide firefighters with a real decision-making tool. Each feature of our solution has been designed to save time, limit damage and support teams mobilized in the field. In a context where forest fires are becoming more frequent, intense and unpredictable, our AI does not replace human expertise but gives it a head start. And in the fight against fires, saving precious minutes can change everything.
